Beloved Friend: Hey Dylan, how are you? I want to ask you something.
I recently moved to Japan. I’ve been here for maybe a week. And there are a lot of triggers. From family, the society and just people. What are these triggers doing here? Are they here to help me expand? Or are they just a reflection of my inner self?

Thank you so much for writing this out to me. This is so beautiful to hear that these triggers are arising!
Seen from the darkened glass or false perspective of the devil, these triggers will be seen as a setback. Its purpose is to deceive you and distract you away from God, therefore, it will always seem to misjudge what arises and suggest false conclusions to your mind from what is arising. These often appear in the form of thoughts that suggest, “You are doing something wrong; look at you, you piece of shit, you were doing so well and now you have gone backwards; you are guilty and worthless for having these triggers arise, be a better person so these don’t come up.“
Correctly perceived from the Holy Spirit’s Perspective, that Speaks for the Fruits of God, the very fact that these triggers are arising is a great advance, indeed. In regards to experiencing the Peace of God, the only purpose of every moment is to raise the validity of the voice of the devil and all of its false thoughts and beliefs to doubt, which seems to cover over the experience of God’s Love and Peace.
What one seems to do and how one seems to feel always come from what is thought and believed on the mind level. Therefore, these triggers that seem to be arising in awareness are just influences of the voice of the devil that you currently value in mind, along with its unloving thoughts, emotions and perceptions. They are all coming into awareness to be seen with the Holy Spirit as being false or valueless. Perception is an inroad into emotion, which is an inroad into thought and belief, which is then an inroad into the prayer of your heart: what is being desired in any given moment? In any experience of upset or lack of peace the core desire on the mind level is always to value and misidentify with the voice of the devil and its self of sin and spiritual death, in this case, play out its belief of being a victim.
When the mind values and misidentifies with the voice that speaks against God, you experience the effectual upsetting emotions and upsetting, fearful perceptions of the world.
Whenever these seeming triggers arise, you always have the opportunity to take a moment to question them. “What is this currently showing me, Holy Spirit? How do I see this differently?” These triggers are providing a beautiful opportunity to show you what you are desiring more than the consistent Peace and Love of God, that is always available this moment through a singular desire or prayer for it. Is my desire singular for peace right now or is my desire split for someone or something in the world, emotion or intellect to be different than it is for me to be happy?—placing the Present experience of the Peace of God, that is already here through Grace, into a future goal of the world where it can never be experienced.
In my experience, when I noticed the devil suggesting I would be happy and peaceful when this happened in the future, when I achieved this in the future, or when this particular situation happens I would notice that even when those things did happen I still wasn’t happy. “I will be peaceful when my partner changes,” and then the partner changes and there is still no peace. You are left chasing fruitless happiness and peace.
The same can be said about the past! “If only I had said that differently I would have been happier, things would have gone differently.” You can begin to see it is all just false thoughts, imagination. It is only the voice of the devil that suggests things should conform to its false image of how things should be to then experience what God has already given. The good news is: you don’t have to believe that voice. Since those false thoughts are founded upon a valueless voice, whose fruits are unhappiness, if this voice is valued and given reality in mind, you experiences the effects of that thought: unloving emotions and spiritual death, and then you seek to correct the unhappiness on the level of perception, rather than the mind level where the false source of the unhappiness truly is.
As one initially begins to get curious and question these thoughts with the Holy Spirit, going deeper within to the core prayer of the heart, you open to discerning between the devil and the Holy Spirit. Since a large majority of mental influence seems to be the enemy’s thoughts that arise in mind, this means that the thoughts that arise within awareness are not yours, or not the Real Thoughts that you think with God, which reflect Love, Clarity and Alignment wholly.
When clarity arises from the Holy Spirit’s Wisdom and Discernment, between what is of the devil and what is of God, you recognise that the true Self you are in Christ, being of God, is always unchanged, undisturbed and unshaken by the devil, who has no power. All you had been feeling, when you valued the voice of enemy, was its roller-coaster of emotions and fragmented perceptions of the world. Nothing in the world needs to change or be different than it is to accept the Self in Christ and experience His Peace. It is only a complete inner surrender of self, to the Self in Christ. This looks like a process until it is just recognised as one moment of complete surrender and Grace.
Since the world is an effect or reflection of your state of mind, when the voice of the devil and its unloving thoughts are overlooked, the experience, the effectual emotions and perception, will follow.
As one withdraws value in the voice of the enemy, one places value correctly in God, where His Peace and Love is left shining As It Is. It has never changed and has never been tarnished by any temporal thought, emotion or perception.
There is a wonderful Eternal Love underneath all temporal appearances, that will beam and shine from within. You will know the Self in Christ as this Love, and then it is recognised as an Experience that was never not there. You will be now without a doubt, for what was doubt of God but a trick by the devil to distract the mind from this experience of Christ.
Love is all that matters, and all lack of love was only a misperception to be corrected by the Perfect Love of God.
