Beyond Money Concerns to God’s Peace

Dylan: Whenever you seem to perceive an object of fear, you have to start to pull the projection of fear back to its false cause: false thoughts of fear and the voice of the deceiver in mind, along with one’s desire to value them.

The fear you seem to have with money is a wonderful opportunity for Peace right now, if seen correctly. Emotions are inroads into what is happening on the mental level—thoughts and beliefs—which lead to the core desire or prayer of the heart of what you are desiring to experience in any moment of seeming upset.

Friend: So, emotions act as an indicator of what thoughts are happening?

Dylan: Yes, emotion is always an effect or result of what thoughts and beliefs are being misidentified with on a mental level. These thoughts and beliefs can then be worked back to, “What am I desiring to experience in this moment?” I will come back to this.

Friend: You said to start with perception and then trace the lack of peace inwards, since perception—the object of fear—is an inroad into emotion, which is an inroad into thought, then belief, and then the core desire on a mental level.

Dylan: Yes, so let us start with the perception. Walk me through it.

Friend: So the perception of my upset or lack of peace right now is money.

Dylan: Wonderful, this is great to observe this.

Friend: The emotions that are coming up are fear, anxiety, intensity and I feel some kind of stuckness around what is happening. Yes, that is what is there.

Dylan: Wonderful, thank you. Since emotion is an inroad to thought and underlying beliefs, walk me through what is arising.

Friend: Okay. Some of the thoughts are, “You don’t have enough. You are worthless because you don’t have enough. Everyone else is successful and doing great, but I’m over here and am a pile of rubbish because I don’t measure up.” Another thought is, “You need to hurry up and get more to be worthy of peace and love, to be worthy of approval.” Yes.

Dylan: Great, thank you for sharing these thoughts! Seen correctly, being able to see them is a big step for you to return to peace.

Friend: Yes, thank you. It feels like a total retreat or setback, but I do remember you saying that whenever anything comes up it is always a step forward. I find this helpful, as when I share the thoughts I know I am not being run by them anymore and can share them for a shift in perception.

Dylan: Yes, when you seem to go through this seeming shift, there comes a realisation that, “Ah, I have only been seemingly valuing and have been reacting to false thoughts of the enemy all along.” As you begin to see that the seeming cause of lack of peace has always been on the level of mind, rather than the level of perception, you realise you are not an innocent victim and always have cause for peace and happiness now in God.

When you are ready, take me through some of the underlying beliefs that you are noticing.

Friend: Well yes, you just said one of them: that I believe I am an innocent victim. I believe my state of mind can be affected by something in the world. I believe I am lacking. I never really saw these during the upset, but now that we are here going through it I can see them.

Dylan: Yes, that is the sweetness of inquiry. We can put all of these onto paper or work it in mentally, and start to see how the mind is desiring to act out a belief of being a victim more than a single desire for God.

Friend: Yes, desiring to value, or misidentify with, as you say, these false beliefs and thoughts arising in the mind.

Dylan: Yes. The Holy Instant does not require that you have no thoughts, yet what it does require is that you hold onto none of them. Just as if you were standing next to a highway and you are just letting the cars come and go, watching them all without clinging to any of them.

You also may use the analogy of being the sky, letting the temporal clouds arise and disappear. You just let them float on by, without a need to try and attach your vast identity of being the sky to a temporal cloud.

Friend: I suppose to add to the list, under beliefs, is that I believe something needs to be different for me to be happy.

Dylan: Yes, that is it, indeed. This is the trick of the enemy.    It seems to provide thoughts that suggest that if only something was different with that person, situation, place, climate or even different with myself I would then be happy, peaceful, content and joyful. “If only I had more money I would be happy and peaceful.”

It projects the Happiness and Peace of God, that is a present experience through surrender of self and Grace, into a future goal where it is never found. When money comes, the enemy still shouts, “I want more to be happy and peaceful.” How much more is enough? And then when there is money it shifts to, “How do I keep it, how do I invest it, how do I protect it?”

Friend: If I am off chasing future happiness and peace from the world, then I am distracted away from where the Happiness and Peace are, in God.

Dylan: Yes, the whole scheme is undone here. All it took was a little investigation with the Light of the Holy Spirit within. And this is where desire comes in. It comes back to, “What is it that I am desiring to experience at this moment?” Am I desiring to value the voice of the deceiver, with its unachievable goals of having a perfect worldly situation or outcome, or am I desiring God’s Peace singularly regardless of how the form looks?

If I desire God’s Peace right now, that means that there is a desirelessness for a particular outcome, a particular situation to go a certain way, or for more of anything in this world.

As you see the falsity of the voice of the deceiver and its unloving thoughts, a recognition happens that the Peace of God is not circumstance-dependent. It is actually available throughout any experience of the world. If it is not circumstance-dependent, then I’m not a victim of the world or a circumstance. Believing you need more money to be happy and peaceful is to claim that you are a victim of the world. Through insight, you can see that it is only you who is experiencing the effects of your desire to value the deceiver or not.

Friend: I didn’t see it at first, but when you said, “For more of anything in the world,” this is what an idol is.

Dylan: Yes, certainly. In the Bible it states, “Hold no graven images before the Lord thy God.” Exodus 20:3-5 These graven images are the split desires of the enemy for more of anything in the world. Why is this? Because if you value the desire for more of something of the world, you will be left feeling a false sense of deprivation: that you seem to not have what you do already have. That the Peace and Happiness of God that are already available to you will be experienced when a specific worldly outcome or situation happens in the future. From this misperception the way you go about trying to fill the deprivation will be through external means, rather than God.

Yet, the sweetness behind, “Hold no graven images,” is because this is where your fulfilment in God lies. Through the single desire for the Peace of God, you overlook the false belief that you are lacking in some way. The voice of the adversary is the voice that speaks against God. The adversary is the one that is lacking a source, and is now its “own god”. Lack is a characteristic of the enemy, not a child of God who is Sourced. Only through the Light of the Holy Spirit’s Wisdom can this be experienced, rather than just intellectually understood.     Here, the fruitless search of looking for peace, happiness and fulfilment in the intellect, emotion or the world, where it cannot be found, ends.

When Jesus said, “Let thine eye be single,” Matthew 6:22 He meant it. Let your inner desire, your prayer of the heart be solely for the Peace of God, for the Love of God and you will experience only that.

Friend: This is very helpful, as the upset was not what I thought it was at the moment that it arose.

Dylan: Yes. At first, the upset seemed to be because of the money in perception, but as we work the upset or lack of peace back to the level of mind it now becomes: “I seem to be experiencing upsetting emotions of fear and anxiety because I am valuing false, fearful thoughts of the deceiver. These thoughts are suggesting that: something terrible is going to happen, and I am not worthy of peace because I don’t have a lot of money, so I’m a pile of rubbish.”

It suggests, “I am an innocent victim that is lacking, and that something in perception has to be different to be happy and peaceful.” The desire to value the voice of the enemy and its unloving thoughts, emotions, and perceptions are the graven images that are valued more than God and the Self in Christ.

Friend: Wow, this is so clear now. I have to see the unreality of this misidentification to experience a shift. I have to see the falsity of these limiting thoughts that arise and dictate things to me. When I don’t see the falsity, I believe them and act them out as if they are true.

Dylan: Yes, when the mind forgot to laugh at the deceiver’s thoughts of temptation one then seems to take them seriously, taking on false responsibility for them. I now become the judgemental one, angry one, sick one, lustful one or the fearful one. This is just a misperception of who I am.

Jesus’ statement that, “You but see through a glass, darkly1 Corinthians 13:12 comes into play here. Seeing through a glass, darkly, refers to a misperception or an error in perceiving. I seem to forget about God and the Self in Christ, where it is like the ever-present, unchanging sky trying to attach the vast identity to temporal, substanceless clouds that are floating through the sky.

Friend: All problems are then a perceptual problem.

Dylan: Indeed, every seeming experience of lack of peace or upset is just a misperception, a misidentification on the mental level extending out to emotion and then perception.

You can see that it is not really money that is the cause of upset, but what is being desired and then believed about the money. All of the made-up mental stories, conclusions and meanings that are being added on top of whatever seems to be presenting itself at the moment. Thoughts seem to arise and conclude, “Because of this, this must mean…fill in the blank.” For example, “Because of the amount of money, this means you are worthless, a piece of rubbish, less than others and you will end up being a bum on the streets.”

Because these thoughts arise in mind, you assume they must be yours and the mind misidentifies with them. In doing so, you have fallen into the great deceiver’s trick of temptation, then you seem to experience the effects which seem to appear as fearful emotions and a fearful world. You then tend to have to find some external solution to a seeming problem that is really on the mental level.

Friend: We get jobs to fill the belief in lack.

Dylan: Exactly. Yet, as we all know by now, it doesn’t bring lasting happiness and peace because the false belief of lack on the mental level is still valued and hasn’t been given to the Light of the Holy Spirit for reinterpretation.

As an analogy, let’s say we went to a movie theatre to watch a movie. The reason we go to a movie theatre is to forget we are watching a movie. We get lost in the roller coaster ride of emotions, otherwise, it would be no fun to pay to watch.

Now, when we are watching a movie we tend to forget that the movie has already been acted out by actors in a controlled environment, it has already been shot, it has already been put onto film, and now it is just being projected out onto the white movie theatre screen.

Even though it has already been shot, you may still find yourself yelling at the actors, “Don’t go in that room! He’s right there! What are you doing, you fools?!” What would make you react that way unless you believed that what was already past, what was already shot, is still present and happening now.

What would make you react in such a way unless you forgot it was just a movie. Remembering that it is just a movie allows you to remember that I’m not a character in that movie, and I don’t have to yell at the other characters to not go in the room. I can’t change what is happening as the movie is over.

Using this analogy, I can recognise I have no choice in what is playing out on the screen, but I can always choose how I am going to perceive the movie. Am I going to watch the movie in peace, or am I going to get lost in the movie and experience the roller coaster of emotion that comes along with it?

This is a metaphor pointing to: are you going to seem to watch what unfolds with the Holy Spirit, with the Peace of God, or are you going to watch what seems to unfold with the deceiver, with its false beliefs, thoughts and upsetting emotions?

Friend: Yes, trying to fill or relieve the idea of lack by external means is like trying to change the movie. It is impossible and brings no real peace or lasting experience because how you are seeing the movie, through the filter of lack or a false sense of self, is still there on the mental level.

Dylan: Precisely, which is why there is no point in trying to change what is an effect of the mind. When I was working through the same experience, as I began to question and inquire I would open up to the Holy Spirit. As I shifted from perceiving problems being solely perception-based to seeming problems on the level of mind.

The Holy Spirit works with the mind where it believes it is. It initially looked like me asking, “How do I solve this in form, where am I to go, whom am I to meet, and what am I to say?” Then inspired ideas, inner nudges or feelings, inner images or thoughts were given. At times, nothing was given as an answer.

Following these intuitive prompts and guidance were used to practically unwind the mind from the misperception of being solely focused on perception. The mind then could gently open to the recognition of the level of mind, the level of valuing beliefs and thoughts, and effectual emotions and perceptions.

As I began to follow the Holy Spirit, my attention would be taken off of perception to watch or observe what was happening mentally. We can call this mind-watching. I would just observe the thoughts and beliefs that would arise during the day and see what was being misidentified with.

I realised the only purpose of perception was to use it to mind-watch and question all of the limiting beliefs and thoughts of the enemy that were being valued more than God. As I focused on this, things in perception seemed to work out synchronistically by themselves.

Jesus says, “Seek first the Kingdom of Heaven and all else will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 If you are willing to question and follow the Holy Spirit into the root of what is being experienced, for the experience of knowing the Self in God, everything else will be added to you, without exception.

What I did not realise, at that moment, was that this is the only thing that works, without fail. Everything in the world is iffy, it may or may not work, but this works 100 per cent without fail. Why? Because, ultimately, God and the Self in God is already available. It just requires a surrender of a false self, in which you accept the Self you are in Him. It is through Grace, therefore, you cannot fail. It is inevitable.

Friend: Yes, I feel what you are saying, as it was just recently that I felt like calling someone and as soon as I picked up the mobile phone they called. It all becomes a synchronistic dance. I was actually clueless and just followed through on an inspired thought.

Dylan: Every moment is filled with glee, as you start to come to that central desire of what is it that I truly desire. It was only the valuing of the voice that spoke against God that seemed to make everything dark, make it seem you were seeing through the glass, darkly.

Whenever you get caught up into perception, you have to come back to recognise that: it is how I am seeing what seems to be playing out where the true level of choice lies. Am I going to perceive what seems to be playing out in Peace, knowing I am not a victim, and that the Peace of God is available right now if desired solely? Or am I going to misperceive what seems to be playing out through a darkened glass?

The only purpose of perception is to raise these false, limiting beliefs and thoughts, and the misidentification with them into conscious awareness. Here, the misidentification with them can be seen as false. The idea of ‘an other’, or a choice between God and something else, falls away. There is no need to try and get rid of any thought, emotion or perception, no need to try and fix anything, stop them or control them. Just a gentle observation of everything with non-judgement, in which the false is seen as false and only the True as True.

Friend: Forgiveness merely waits, watches, and judges not.

Dylan: Yes, this is the true meaning of forgiveness! Seeing the falsity of the voice of the deceiver and its fruits to extend the true Fruits of the Spirit.

You are safe in God, as you always have what you need now, and all that you need is Him. In Him, you are always where you need to be, without exception!

Bask in the glee of non-judgement, knowing, “All things work together for good for those who love God.Romans 8:28 You truly can’t mess anything up, as all lack of joy rested on the false idea that you could. When the mind stops misdefining the problem, space can open up for the miracle to drop in. The Holy Spirit takes care of all perceived needs as long as they are needed. God Loves you. God’s Love is you in Him.

Rest in this moment and relax as a child of God, for this moment is all there is. Your Self in Christ is the Safety that was sought for in the world. Presence, for this moment is all there is. You are the Safety that was sought for in the world. You Are the Divine Providence.

Recognising Your Invulnerability in God

Sweet Beloved,

Would you be willing to drop all psychological defences if they were reinterpreted to be a defence against Peace and God: that all fear is really the fear of recognising that you are Loved and Loving now as the Self in Christ?

Would you gladly see that the fear of the future is really the fear of recognising that you are so unconditionally loved, 100 per cent safe and supported right now and in every moment? Would you gladly see that all guilt is really the fear of recognising and extending your inherent Innocence in Christ? Would you gladly see that the fear of joining with others is really the fear of being vulnerable and recognising the unconditional Love that is there for all, in Christ?

Would these psychological defences still hold value if you recognised they were defending what you really wanted now: the Joy, Happiness, Peace and Love that is available from God?

The Self in Christ cannot be touched or harmed by any false thought, emotion, action or perception from the deceiver. Just as the empty space in a room, as a symbolic metaphor, cannot be touched or harmed by any of the contents or activity that seem to arise within it. What need does this space have to protect any area of itself in this recognition? Take my hand and let the mind gently lower these unneeded defences, so that you may recognise your Perfect Safety in God. It is okay to laugh at every ounce of seriousness of the world. Remember to laugh, recognising that these false ideas of the great deceiver were all unreal appearances that needed one to remember not to laugh at them to have any sense of effect.

One is forever safe, for what remnant of fear can enter into unconditional Love? Perfect Love casts out all fear. What a joy it is recognising that invulnerability is inherent in recognising the Self in Christ. Through your decision for Love, the mind’s singular desire for God, you recognise the Mind in Christ, out of which your invulnerability is sourced, being of God.

In the gentle seeing that mind is the only causative level, you recognise that there are no causes in the world of perception that have the power to disturb the Stability of God. Perception was only an effect, only a mirror of what is looked upon within.

This is a cause for joy! If one is only ever reacting and responding to one’s state of mind, which is always under one’s direction, then the target of the enemy’s projection is always wholly Innocent and worthy of Love.

Let the images on the cinema screen be as loving or as hateful as they may. In your power of decision, as a stepping-stone, you can accept the Love and Innocence of God beyond images.

The Peace of God is never disturbed.

Everyone, deep down, really loves each other very much, even if it is not entirely seen in awareness. The seeming problem and seeming solution to one’s experience has always resided with one’s Self in Christ. Praise be to God.

Remember to laugh, Beloved. I love you!

Staying with What’s True: True Empathy

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.2 Corinthians 4:18

The world is a cover and distraction from the experience of the Peace of God. Everything about this world is designed so that you seek your fulfilment, happiness, peace and love where you will never find it. Thus, you now feel out of sorts with yourself because everything is designed so that the Holy Spirit and the authenticity of one’s Being in Christ take the back seat.

Have you ever felt deep down that there has got to be a better way of doing things? This tickling feeling is the nudge of the Holy Spirit planting a seed through this intuitive feeling.

As one starts to awaken, many disillusionments seem to be experienced. What you once thought to be true is seen as not so. The floor seems to be pulled out in shifting your attention from the level of perception, the world, to the level of mind, the thoughts and beliefs in mind, where sight is experienced.

As one’s attention is brought inwards to mind-watching, observing all of the thoughts and beliefs that arise in mind, one goes through a period of sorting out the mental garbage. This is a discernment between what is the voice of the adversary and what is the Holy Spirit. You can often tell the difference very easily through the way you feel.

We have all heard of the saying that fear stands for False Evidence Appearing Real. This saying provides a good starting point in using what is felt to discern between what is false and what is real. At any moment when you notice any upset, lack of peace, pride, lust, jealousy, addictive tendencies, temptations or any other fruits of the enemy, you can begin to trace these fruits back to the underlying false thoughts and voice of the enemy in mind.

If the great deceiver is providing false evidence that is appearing real, then this provides the ability to look at this evidence with the Light of the Holy Spirit. Here, you can decide if you want to value it any longer. The Holy Spirit will meet the mind where it believes to be and unwind it from the attraction to the enemy through Its Guidance.

What is important during this is that one continues the practice of exposing it, through means such as confession or sharing with someone that can hold that space, along with prayer, insight and growing in Him through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This is a leading into, after sorting the false from the true, disregarding the false altogether. Through the recognition of the complete falsity of the voice of the great deceiver, in which it holds no value what-so-ever, what is True is left shining As It Is.

Initially, this can take vigilance as you are shown what is false and what is true, where the false can be recognised as false and only the true as true. Sight, or seeing the true as true and only the true as true, requires the Light of Clarity of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit sees truly because It is an Extension of Clarity, and, therefore, is Perfect Sight.

The Holy Spirit does not mistake anything that is of the enemy as one’s true Reality, as all aspects of what is false is false!

Just as in a night-time dream, any time fear is experienced, it is certain that the dreamer of the dream is out of accord with itself. It is out of accord with itself because it is seeing what is not real, the dream, as real. The dreamer must be forgetting that it is dreaming, and now, misperceiving the dream as real and of having real consequences and reacting to it.

When you experience a nightmare, what use is there in reacting to everything that is going on, except if you forget that you are dreaming and are actually safe in your bed at home?

Such is the great deceiver: a magician with false appearances, a trickster that speaks against God that one seems to experience as real. Until the prodigal son comes back to his father, he will not be able to distinguish the fruits of the father from the fruits of the world. The belief system of the deceiver uses thoughts, emotions and perceptions to perpetuate itself as being fact, when it is only false evidence appearing real, a dream of separation, chaos and fright.

It only seems frightening because one has forgotten the gloriousness of the sun and its rays behind the storm clouds.

It is here that the Holy Spirit whispers to the mind, guiding you to the remembrance of God. One must begin to bring everything that is unconscious to the Light of the Holy Spirit to be made conscious, before awakening to the Peace of God.

No one scolds their friend for betraying them in a night-time dream. They go and tell them what happened in a light-hearted way, because they know nothing really happened to them while they were sleeping in bed. When you awaken from a nightmare, you experience relief and bubbling light- heartedness that it wasn’t real, that you’ve always been safe.

Such is the Self in Christ. What of the temporal can affect that of the eternal? Praise be to God Who, being beyond the weight and gravity of the voice of the deceiver and its sinful self, unveils a light-hearted Laughter that you want to share with everyone, as witness and testimony to the Power of God.

The Love of God, that radiates like the sun behind the darkened storm clouds, is forever real and worth every effort.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21

Practical Self-Inquiry:
Devaluing Limiting Beliefs

Trusting What Is: Divine Providence

In the world, it can be quite common to go through the motions without really stopping to ask, “What is it for? What is the purpose of what is being done?” It can initially be helpful to pause and ask: is this being done out of the Inspiration, Joy, and Love that is from the Self in Christ, or is this being done out of the fear and control from a personal sense of self?

What is the purpose of education? To gain credentials for a career. What is the purpose of a career? To make money and attain long-lasting employment. What is the purpose of money and long-lasting employment? To pay the bills and provide more opportunities to do more things. What is the purpose of these? To have a home and money to do things. What is the purpose of having a home and money? So you can have security and freedom.

When inquired into, you can see that it is the belief that your security and freedom come from the world and the body that is driving these actions. You can also see the underlying fear of a future consequence of ending up on the street, or that you are not provided for by God if you stopped, which is running as an underlying filter of fear, control, and concern in all actions.

As you begin to inquire into the purpose of everything that you seem to do, you can get to the core of why you are doing things. It can be easily seen if you are following the enemy’s purpose of fear, lack or control, or the Holy Spirit’s purpose of intuitive Inspiration, Passion and Peace by how you feel.

When God has been forgotten, one perceives oneself as a separate self that is fearful and lacking. One perceives all of one’s perceived needs or solutions as being outside in the world of perception. This is to meet the need externally through jobs, out of the fear of survival and future consequences of ending up on the street.

Just like fingers on a hand, unquestioned beliefs act as a seeming cover over the palm. Here, one believes one is a finger, separated from the entirety of the hand and all of the other fingers. It forgets that it is connected to the entirety of the hand itself, and thinks it now has to provide for itself. Using this analogy, it is clearly seen as a misperception.

Through raising these beliefs and thoughts to doubt, this is all designed to bring one back to where the real choice is: the stepping-stone decision between the Holy Spirit, the Thoughts you think with God, or the deceiver, who speaks against God.

Just like when you’re watching a movie, the problem is never on the screen; it is what is being believed and interpreted about the screen that is the problem. You can say, “Don’t turn left!” to the movie actor, but it won’t do anything.

While you value the great deceiver, the quiet inner Voice of the Holy Spirit will always practically work with you. It will meet you where you are and unwind you from the complexities of the deceiver. This is an unwinding from banging on the movie screen to get it to change, to seeing it is the interpretations and judgements about the movie that is the problem.

By seeing that it is how you are watching the movie that is the problem, this provides a seeming effective solution to a seeming problem. You now have a choice of how you want to watch the movie. This occurs by a change of purpose in mind, the Holy Spirit’s purpose of forgiveness: questioning the validity of the deceiver and its unloving thoughts, which seems to cover over the awareness of Divine Providence or God.     Yet, it is all just a seeming, as the Self in Christ never had to surrender a false sense of self.

It is an opening to see that it is not money that is the problem. It is the false thoughts and beliefs that are held about money, that is where the fearful emotions and perceptions are coming into play. Only by returning to where the cause of the problem is can you bring about a true perceptual change. By placing the solution outside, you believe yourself to be a helpless victim with no real solution.

By raising to doubt the validity of the voice of the adversary, which often appears as, “I won’t be provided for. I will lose my house. I won’t have money to eat or pay rent,” you recognise that these thoughts are only an effect of valuing the voice of the deceiver. That is the only problem.

The adversary reasons, “You weren’t provided for in the past by God and will end up on the street in the future.” Using an imagined past and future to skip over the Peace of God in the Present Moment, the enemy falsely counsels the mind that the future will be unlike the present.

In observing these thoughts in non-judgement, with the Light of the Holy Spirit, they are seen as false. It is recognised that these thoughts were never yours, the Thoughts you think with God, and you did not have to value and misidentify with them as if they were. The seeming problem is seen as already solved, as these thoughts are not true in nature. They arise and disappear from what has no cause, being its ‘own god’. Having no cause, therefore, they have no value as they speak against what is Real, True and Valuable.

These unreal thoughts, always based on a hypothetical past and future, were the seeming trick of the adversary to keep one in fear. In quiet hopes that one didn’t realise the falsity of it all, and then relax into the consistent Peace that is sourced from God’s Eternal Love for you in Him.

The personal responsibility of being ‘the provider or the doer,’ is also included in the identity of the enemy, who has left God. God is Provider. God is Supply. You, being a child of God, will always be provided for and supported, and this will be shown in the world as things showing up in synchronistic ways that could not have been planned for.

“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?” Matthew 6:28-30

The more one acts on passion, questioning any false beliefs that arise in the moment while acting on intuitive guidance from the Holy Spirit, the more aware you become of synchronicity. When the mind is not seemingly weighed down by the gravity of what is not real, the mind is aware of all of the synchronistic opportunities that seem to align ‘coincidentally’.

Just as money is a mutually agreed upon definition of worldly abundance, it is just one way abundance can reach you. Synchronicity is another avenue that the Holy Spirit can use. Synchronicity is always there, but the awareness of it is just seemingly obscured. Regardless of what happens, one now has spiritual Abundance, for God is Abundance.

In this shift of purpose, from striving for security in the world to God, every need that one perceives to have will be met to support one in this holy purpose. In the Light of Christ, fear is replaced with Love and the mind relaxes into God.

It is here that it is recognised and experienced that there are actually no needs. For the desire to add more, get more of something, manifest more or change something in the world was all part of the false scheme of the deceiver to distract you away from God; a denial of what is given through Grace.

Divine Providence is a present experience. You can’t plan it. You can’t intellectualise it. Christ is ego-proof. A total Knowing that everything is perfect as it is right now, according to His Plan, and that nothing could be any different than how it is right now. One is free to extend the childlike gleefulness that comes from the recognition that everything is provided when it is needed, from moment-to-moment. A spontaneous and intuitive life like the birds, animals, trees and flowers which do not work but are perfectly provided for.

This is what it is all about!

Everyone is here to recognise God’s Love as Abundant! Rejoice that the past and future never played a part, and it was only unquestioned thoughts and beliefs which blocked the awareness of this. The unquestioned sense of ‘a doer’, the fingers of the hand which thought they needed to personally do something to provide was nothing but a misperception of self.

Let yourself be happily carried down the stream.

Remember to laugh, Loved One.

Practical Self-Inquiry:
Devaluing Limiting Beliefs

On Being Authentic

Initially, in my experience, I noticed how much the intuitive guidance and prompts of the Holy Spirit were disregarded for the enemy’s dictates of “should” and “have to.” The Holy Spirit plays an important part in guiding one moment-to-moment to the experience of consistent Joy. Yet, the voice of the enemy comes in with the compromising “should” and “have to” to distract one away from the Joy of God. This is where the inauthenticity of people-pleasing and self-sacrifice come into play in one’s life. And then one wonders why one feels shallow.

If you bring the perception of needing to please people and compromise to the level of mind, the level of thoughts and beliefs, you can begin to question why it is even important for me to do this. What is the purpose of people-pleasing? What am I so afraid of?

Through shifting one’s attention inward from the world to what is arising in mind, you can begin to see the false thoughts of the enemy underneath the uncomfortable emotions saying, “You need to do this to be approved; you have to just sit here when you know you don’t want to because you will hurt their feelings; you need to compromise here so you have future security; you need to compromise here so this consequence in the future doesn’t happen.” We want to gain clarity around the magician’s tricks so the mind doesn’t buy into them anymore.

Through prayer and shining the Holy Spirit’s Light on these thoughts, you can begin to see that they always speak against the Authenticity, Happiness, Peace and Love of God. If you take it a step further you can also see, from shining a light on these false thoughts, that: “Oh wow, I seem to believe that I need the approval of some other to be happy. I believe if I don’t compromise I can lose something! I believe my happiness and peace depend upon a particular outcome or a perfect future condition,” where it is never actually found.

This interior prayer and insight, where you are just bringing the lack of peace back off of the perception back to the mind level, is just an inroad. This inroad is to allow you to recognise the root desire on the mind level—what you are desiring to experience in each moment. In any moment of lack of peace there is always a split desire in mind to value the voice of the adversary, and then act out its backwards motives for future peace and happiness. As long as you are not choosing God, it is quite happy watching you be distracted by the world of smoke.

This is the ego’s ploy; as long as it is valued, to distract one away from the present experience of the Fruits of the Spirit.    If one is fixated on being peaceful some time in the future—carrot-chasing something that will never come—then one has totally forgotten about the Peace and Fulfilment that comes from God instead of the world.

To the world, it seems like compromise is necessary to be approved, to be peaceful, to be happy, to have security of some kind or whatever it may be. Yet, through coming back to the root desire on the mind level you recognise that if I surrender and accept the Self I am in Christ, I don’t need to compromise in any way to get what I have already been given by Grace. If I allow myself to be peaceful, loving and happy right now by being with God, then I no longer need to compromise in any way to get what I already have accepted and have been given.

You always have the option to pause and notice the enemy’s motives: of needing to be approved, to get something in return for something, for some sort of future happiness or future peace. You realise that you don’t need to play these games anymore.

In recognising the falsity of the voice of the adversary, one rests back into what has been Divinely Given. This had just been overlooked while you thought what you wanted or needed came from the world.

The Holy Spirit is always available moment-to-moment, yet it is only useful if Its Wisdom is listened to and followed through on. It guides one to the experience of consistent Happiness and Joy. It helps shift the mind from the enemy through being uncompromising in not heeding the small calls of the adversary to self-sacrifice through straying away from God.

Any feeling of unhappiness is merely a signal that this has happened. The enemy is a compromise on the Holy Spirit. There are always two ways to approach everything: through love or fear, through compromise or inspiration. This is simple logic right here. If you compromise on happiness only unhappiness can be the logical result. If you compromise on who you truly are in Christ you will, indeed, feel unhappy. Trying to be something you are not does feel like death. The wages of sin is death. The wages of valuing the voice of the adversary in unhappiness and spiritual death.

The fear of judgement that seems to arise from stepping into the Authenticity of the Holy Spirit is seen as nothing but another distraction or trick of the enemy. For how could you fear something you truly want? It is illogical. That is what the enemy is. It can only try and distract one away from the Peace and Joy of God. One doesn’t have to listen to it. It is not that anyone will actually judge you, as it is just the voice of the adversary placing its own false judgement on the world and judging itself.

We were told by Jesus to judge not. This is important because if we value the voice of the enemy’s judgement in mind we are instantaneously going to feel judged. Cause and effect are together, they are simultaneous. The desire to value the enemy’s voice of judgement will simultaneously mirror a judgemental world, but the world is not actually doing anything but mirroring one’s state of mind.

“Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” Matthew 7:1-3

The fear of judgement from the world is really just the voice of the adversary’s fear of the Love of God. When there is a misidentification, its own fear of being judged seems to become ‘my fear.’ The mind takes on the false sense of responsibility for the enemy. The Self in Spirit is beyond the enemy, therefore, beyond the fear of judgement, being Whole.

Therefore, it is helpful to get real clear on purpose—which is on the mind level—between the enemy and the Holy Spirit. When one can discern between the enemy and the Holy Spirit, what is false is joyously laid aside. As the ego is laid aside or overlooked, the Fruits of the Spirit are left shining in full Light.

You are never responsible for the whispers of the adversary. You are only responsible for the correction—the Holy Spirit.

Resting in the Grace of God is an exuberant experience. This is what allows you to shine and extend the Fruits to everyone else, near or far. When you follow through on the Authenticity of the Spirit you stay in and as Joy, and this Joy is shared and radiated to everyone and everything. This exuberance is how authenticity is expressed in everything that is thought, spoken and acted upon. It is selfless, it is not only for you. Just as you were once in a pit calling for help, God will use the Authenticity that is being beamed through to help others.

You are only authentic when you remain true to the Self in Christ. The Self in Christ is a renewal of heart and mind that transcends past learning, transcends past conditioning. I reached a point where I was questioning why I wasn’t joyful.  I had to get honest and look at where I was acting out of accord with God, where I would act out of conditioning, where I would be acting out of fear, and where I would compromise on Authenticity to be liked or get approval from the world.

It wasn’t until I became non-compromising for God that I recognised that that is where the safety lies, that is where the joy lies and that is where the integrity lies. Whenever I remained true to the Spirit, the deeper and more meaningful each encounter was experienced because the Joy, the Meaning or the purpose behind the action was there. So, it was recognised that authenticity was synonymous with being truly helpful for the whole. Capital ‘S’ Self-full is lowercase ‘s’ self-less.

People-pleasing drops away as the joy and strength of Authenticity, that is of God, takes its place. You are here to express the Authenticity that is the Movement of Life in a very real and alive way in each moment. The will to die—unhappiness and depression—comes from expressing the voice of the adversary’s dictates which go against God. You are here to demonstrate the will to live by expressing the Fruits of the Spirit to everyone and everything.

Let the seeming masks dissolve in the Light of exposing the self to the Self in Christ. This is a non-compromising decision that eradicates the need for one to claim to be who one is not.

Play, have fun and be like a child knowing you will always be taken care of with this. The mind will resist this idea at first, but this is okay. Remain gentle with yourself. One’s Self in Christ is the goal that the world seeks.

Remember to laugh, Loved One. You are loved just as you are!

Practical Self-Inquiry:
Devaluing Limiting Beliefs

The Impossibility of Judgement

All things are arising perfectly in accordance to His Plan of salvation. What the enemy made to destroy, God uses for healing and release in Him. Everything is expressing itself perfectly as it is in every moment because He is in charge of the Plan of salvation. Nothing could be any different from how it is appearing right now. Just as one listens to a song, dancing and singing to every note that is arising in perfection, so, too, can one experience the perfection of the moment through the Eyes of the Holy Spirit.

Perfection comes with a renewed heart and mind in God. Love comes with a renewed heart and mind in God. A renewed mind means you see the sameness of everything. What is of the flesh is flesh, and what is of the Spirit is Spirit. You make no differences where there is none, ultimately, perceiving the oneness or unification of everything in Him.

Initially, the mind appears to misidentify with the voice of the adversary which speaks against the Reality of God, and, therefore, misperceives through its judgemental thoughts of attack, comparison, fear and fragmentation.

Whenever the enemy places its personal sense of control and judgement on anything of the world, it is essentially saying:

“I, who see but through a keyhole, claim that I know the entire picture, therefore, what is best for all involved at all times. I, with my limited perceptions, know better than what is currently arising according to His plan of salvation. I, who know better than God, command the arrest of everything so I can mold it all into my limited image of how I want it to be.”

The arrogance of the enemy can be clearly seen, when put this way. Fear would be an appropriate effect from this distortion. It is fearful to try to mold something into what it is not.

With the Holy Spirit, one is able to begin to observe the great deceiver in a calm awareness, out of which the falsity of its judgemental thoughts is realised. These thoughts were never mine, never the true Inspired Thoughts of God.

It is impossible to judge anything with limited awareness. All personal judgement must be given over to the Holy Spirit, Who Judges correctly. The Holy Spirit is Perfect Sight and is the Spirit of Truth. It is the Voice that speaks for the good of all.

It is easy to judge and hard to forgive. Just like the 1977 Simon Paul song which says, “We’re workin’ our jobs, collect our pay, believe we’re gliding down the highway when in fact we’re slip slidin’ away. This is an actual experience. For me, the closer I drew nearer to God, through the Holy Spirit’s Wisdom, where I was once attacking my brothers I would notice a calm acceptance, and then a well of love beaming from within.

The mind that values the great deceiver fails to recognise that the experience of doing so is, indeed, hell. The wages of sin is death. The cost of valuing the voice of the adversary and its sinful self is hell. The deceiver is the denial of God, of one’s Self in Spirit, therefore, one who is misaligned with it is trying to go against oneself. This is where all the apparent inner conflict seems to arise. This is Divine Logic. You can only get apples from apple trees. If you compromise on the Self in Christ that is Happiness, the only result can be unhappiness.

The Power of God is no small gift. It does not even compare to anything the enemy can offer. When I was travelling around New Zealand and Australia, wherever invited and Guided by the Holy Spirit, there would be a lot of opportunities to witness this Power. I was staying with a friend, one time. They were drawing nearer to God, as well, and we came across someone who practiced witchcraft. As we did, I noticed the friend yelling at them in judgement. Later on, I found out that the beloved who was practicing witchcraft had an experience with another child of God. This child of God offered them the Fruits of the Spirit, and it changed their life in such a way that they found Him and left witchcraft.

They stated that it was the only time someone representing God had actually listened to them with compassion, in which they were flooded with His Love. The rest of the time they would just get blasted with hate from those who claimed to be representing Him. The Power comes through the Fruits, rather than the intellectual understanding of God. That is what it is all about. Being so selfless in Him that He can use you for His Plan of salvation. This is truly no small gift to see others lit up.

In this Power, in these Fruits, in this selflessness there is no personal sense of judgement. He has dissolved your small sense of self in Him. Your focus is so much towards God that you see everything and everyone as unified in His Love. It only takes one flame from a lit candle to light every other candle in a darkened room. He has Judged everyone as worthy of His Love, if one is willing to surrender one’s personal self and accept the Self in Him. The personal self, being of the enemy, was the wall that was built up to hide from His Love. God is no respecter of persons. God is no respecter of masks. When one is lit up in Him, it is His Power and Fruits that break down this wall to reach all of his children, according to his Plan.

“From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer.” 2 Corinthians 5:16

Judgement rests on duality, of two separate things: The judge and the judged. It requires that the subject, the judge, and the object, the judged, be separate. Judgement rests on the flesh, and no one valuing the whispers of the great deceiver is actually the great deceiver itself. “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.Luke 23:34 Everyone, in their heart, is still a child of God worthy of forgiveness. What the enemy makes to destroy He uses for His Glory. It is up to you to be lit up in Him, so that He can reach every child of His to awaken their heart from the slumber of the enemy. Some may not even know of Him, but they will if they see Him beaming through you. All it takes is one lit candle.

Akin to a night-time dream, in which the subject and object are seen as together, the Love of God floods one that knows no difference between the needs of one and the needs of another. You see everyone united in their true, eternal, spiritual Self as children of God in Christ, rather than solely limited to the flesh. What is there to judge between in what is Whole in Him? What enemy is there in what is Unified in Him?

I share with certainty that Perfect Love does cast out all fear. The Holy Spirit Judges Truly. Any personal sense of judgement was but the illusion of judgement, as nothing from a limited awareness can judge anything truly. Can a child judge the world correctly based on its limited experience of the world? Or would the child’s judgement just be seen as cute and adorable by the parent, who can judge truly? It is impossible to judge anything truly if the judgement was based from a limited keyhole perspective. You recognise that you don’t even have to stop judging, but that you have never judged truly in the first place. You were never the great deceiver; it was only a false premise. Nothing from a false premise, that speaks against God, has any real effects or valid points of truth. It is not the mind’s function to judge but to forgive.

Relax into the ease of acceptance. It all now becomes a dance to a giant Love song with a problemless state of mind, for through Him are all things possible. There is nothing more in the world to achieve, for He is your Shepard. There are no more personal problems to solve, for He takes care of all things. The Glee and Stillness of God is all that is present.

Remember to laugh, Loved One. I love you!

Practical Self-Inquiry:
Devaluing Limiting Beliefs

Simplifying Decision-Making

In this seeming world, it can seem like the mind has many choices in form to make.

You can use the analogy of going to the movie theatre, where there are projected images on the movie screen. The projector behind it is projecting images onto the blank screen. Yet, while watching the movie, one forgets one is watching and finds oneself getting involved in what is going on—feeling sad when an actor dies or yelling at the screen, telling the actor not to go into that room!

You forget that it is just a movie, just a blank screen with images being projected onto it. It cannot be changed in the slightest way, as the movie is already written and filmed. The making of the film is already over and cannot be changed. The only choice one truly has is how one is going to perceive the movie. Is one going to remain at peace, remembering it is just a movie, or is one going to have a roller-coaster ride of the emotions that come with forgetting that the movie is not real?

When one has forgotten the Self in Spirit, one believes one has real choices one can make between things of the world. It seems as if choosing ice cream over waffles or a Honda over an Aston Martin is a real choice, and choosing the right one makes one happy while the other one doesn’t.

Yet, this is the same as if I were to pull up this blanket from the bed here and say, “This part of the blanket is waffles, and this part of the blanket over here is ice cream.” There is a seeming amnesia in forgetting that the first and second option are the same! Both are the blanket, both options are of the flesh, both options are of the one blank movie screen with projected images on it. It is all the same. There isn’t really any choice at all in choosing one piece of the blanket over another and saying one is better and one is not.

In recognising this, one can see that there really aren’t any real choices that can be made between what is the same. To do so is to make a choice where no choice is offered. This is what keeps the mind in guilt, as there is a conflict about this duality: worrying about, “Did I choose the right thing, did I get something wrong?” There is a lot of confusion in this.

If there are no choices in what is the same, where are the choices? Just like in the movie theatre analogy, when one remembers it is a movie one always has the choice of how one perceives what is happening on the screen. This means that the stepping-stone idea of choices is really in the mind: between the voice of the enemy or the Holy Spirit, as behaviour is an effect of the mind. What is done comes from what is thought and believed.

Choices in the world are the projection of the choice between choosing the Peace of God or valuing the enemy and its split desires of the world. The enemy won’t want you to see this option because this means getting closer to the escape hatch of its fruits of hell that seems to be experienced.

Now that one knows what the real choices are, one has to get clear on what one is going to value.

The mind will now come in and say, “Well, Dylan, if there are no choices in form, what am I supposed to do in the midst of choices?” Another way of restating the question: “What am I going to do or what am I going to decide between?” is to think of it as:

What am I going to value?

  • The whispers of the Holy Spirit or the adversary?
  • Peace of mind or inner conflict?
  • Certainty of Spirit or doubt of the ego?
  • Inspiration or fear of future consequence?

Once one has decided for one of these, the behaviour will come automatically:

  • A gentle smile to reassure another that all is well.
  • Inspiration to write a song that will touch many hearts.
  • Sharing a testimony that opens someone’s eyes to God.

All of these are examples of involuntary behaviours, which are an effect of resting in the Peace or Love of God.

All upsets are only a forgetting of God, seemingly overlooking the Holy Spirit to misidentify with the enemy. To choose, which is really to surrender and accept, the Self in Christ is to have a singular prayer for the Peace of God over anything else.

Desiring peace more than getting the ice cream that was wanted but didn’t get, desiring peace more than getting that parking space one wanted but another took, forgetting that the real decision is in mind and not in the self-concept preferences of the world.

To be at peace or to not be at peace is the only question!

Accepting the Peace of God rests on seeing the falsity of the enemy. When the enemy is correctly evaluated with the Holy Spirit, it is seen as false and then overlooked. This takes one out of choice. There is nothing to choose between if you have dropped one of two choices. Conflict, being the idea of another ‘thing’ to choose between, has gone. This is choiceless awareness. All decisions of the world now become as easy and as right as breathing. No matter whether you choose a Honda or an Aston Martin, the Peace of God is experienced regardless. There is no concern for a particular outcome.

Just as Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven,” Matthew 18:3 one must gently awaken to Innocence,  a total reliance on God before the Peace can be experienced.

Practical Self-Inquiry:
Devaluing Limiting Beliefs

Rest Comes From Waking in God

One sits and watches, judging not. Watching just as the sky observes clouds passing by. The chitter-chatter of the mind and most resulting words are “much ado about nothing.”

The thoughts arising are but mist, and the words spoken from this mist dissipate with the sun, meaning nothing. A substitute for Stillness. A substitute for the present moment. A desperate defence against the one thing the chitter-chatter fears the most: the stillness of God and the fountain of Love that is waiting to be accepted in this moment, if you were to see its illusory nature.

Resting as Presence, aware of all ego thoughts, emotions and perceptions. Silently aware. They all walk up to the House and knock. Yet, the Self in Christ remains unchanged throughout all these thoughts, emotions and perceptions.

What could all of these arisings be about? A light turns on. A realisation. The remembrance of Knowledge. One has only seemingly overlooked God. Like the light from a torch it cannot be seen by itself, and then seemingly misidentifies with what it is aware of, with what the torch shines on, which all can be seen as something separate from the light.

A desire to separate and claim a false, separate identity, to separate from the vastness and ever-flowing Love that is present at this very moment.

“This need not be,” God whispers.

This need not be! It was accepted and One recognised God as It is, resting as Itself. One doesn’t have to misidentify with a false sense of self. It can just as easily be overlooked, just as God can seemingly be overlooked for the false sense of self. The seeming amnesia of one’s Self in Christ is replaced with the acceptance of exuberant joy that this need not be!

Rest comes from waking. True rest in God Who never slept. Goals other than Grace are laid aside, now at rest in the gentle and joyous flow that everything is.

Peace is inherent in the Self which is of God. Rest as this. The thinking of the world is no more and is but seen as one and the same—illusion. Abiding quietly in Stillness. Nothing but blankets of Love.

The rivers have returned to the sea and one now joins with the Ocean. Two recognised as One, having never appeared as two.

Remember to laugh, Loved One. I love you!

Practical Self-Inquiry:
Devaluing Limiting Beliefs

The Fear of Abandonment

As relationships end, there can be many unconscious beliefs and unquestioned thoughts that arise within awareness. The effects of these include feelings of upset, loss, hurt, anger or abandonment. Often going unseen, the fear of abandonment is the most common belief that arises into awareness at “the end” of relationships.

As these deep feelings of hurt are brought up for one to see with the Holy Spirit, one is given the opportunity to re-feel them without judgement or repression. These are emotions that wanted to be seen once before, yet were suppressed because one didn’t want to look at them, thus becoming unconscious.

Every event, properly perceived, becomes an opportunity for healing. You are given the opportunity to look at all of the unquestioned thoughts and assumptions that speak against God, to see their falsity and, ultimately, their impossibility.

As the mind seems to value the great deceiver and think with it, one experiences its upsetting thoughts, upsetting emotions and distorted perceptions. However, as with everything, they can be used by the Holy Spirit for healing and to bring the one back to the Peace of God. As one brings false beliefs to the Light of the Holy Spirit, only the light will remain. Just as when you turn a light on, the light and darkness in the room cannot co-exist.

As one exposes these thoughts through prayer, realisations can start to spark in the mind. In my own experience, when a relationship ended, I was aware that the choice to feel angry and sad was a choice not to see beliefs such as, “I can be abandoned,” as a present decision in the mind. By believing this one unquestioned belief, “I can be abandoned,” the effectual upsetting emotions and perceptions of the world seem to arise.

For example, when one forgets about one’s Self in Christ, the Love of God and the Fruits of the Spirit are seemingly overlooked where the voice of the adversary is valued instead. The voice of the adversary is the voice of one who abandoned God, and now has no source. It claims to be its own source, which is where pride and the fruits of the enemy arise from.    Just like Scar, in the movie The Lion King, who killed Mufasa and tempts Simba into believing he did, the great deceiver now tempts your mind into believing and taking on the qualities of itself.

From valuing the voice of the great deceiver, the false effects of misidentifying with this belief of abandonment can be seen as: firstly, experiencing unloving thoughts which speak against God, such as, “I am unloved; I am unlikable; something is wrong with me; I am trash”; secondly, feelings of upset are experienced as sadness, anger or loss; the last effect may play out as projecting anger and guilt onto someone and closing off because of the emotions.

What you do comes from what you think and believe. Feeling sad and angry is the enemy’s attempt to prove that one can be a victim of the world, and that its false projections are justified by it. It is an attempt to see the cause as something in the world or perception, forgetting that it is only myself who is doing everything to myself; that the cause is on the level of mind, the level of valuing the great deceiver.

This is great news! This means that if I am willing to look at everything again with the Light of the Holy Spirit, I can change my experience of the world right here and right now. I do not need to play the victim card, which just delays the Peace, Happiness and Love of God that is available through surrender and Grace. The enemy does not want you to be happy. The enemy does not want you to be at peace, therefore, it has to throw up delay tactics to keep your focus off of God. The moment you choose God wholeheartedly is when its seeming reign ends. It delays this experience through counselling, “Only when they change, only when something in the world is different in the future, only when you attain these worldly goals can you then be peaceful and happy.”

Through prayer and the Holy Spirit, the loved one who was blamed and the target of projection can now be seen as always being innocent! Not with blame but with gratitude, for letting you see this misidentification with the enemy in your own mind that needed to be raised to doubt.

In that moment it was not them that didn’t love me, it was I who misidentified with the voice of the adversary, who speaks against God, and did not love God or my brothers and sisters. It was not them that abandoned me, but I who abandoned my Self in Christ through valuing with the voice of the adversary more than God. Yet, not wanting to take responsibility for my state of mind, for my desire to value the great deceiver, I unknowingly blamed others and made them a target of what I was doing. “Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”” Luke 23:34

When you start to question what you are experiencing in the world and investigate the underlying thoughts and beliefs, there is a lot of glee that starts to bubble from within. You realise that you always have the ability to change what you are experiencing from moment-to-moment-to-moment.

You can be seemingly hurt only by misidentifying with the voice of the adversary and its unloving thoughts. When you question these thoughts and the misidentification with them, the made-up movie that is happening in the imagination dissolves. If you do not abandon your Self in Christ, how can you experience abandonment? You know God is always with you, along with your brothers and sisters. If you are rooted in the Love of God how can you experience heartbreak? You know God loves you and you love God, along with everyone.

It was only ever false beliefs that made you believe that you had to abandon your Self in Christ, to put on a mask to gain approval by your partner or the world. It was only ever false beliefs that made you forget about God’s Love, and now had to get it from everyone and everything else in the world.

When you are rooted in God and have the Stability of Christ as your Foundation, the qualities of the great deceiver can now be seen as ridiculous and impossible. By raising the voice of the adversary to doubt you are able to continue to love, seeing that there actually can be no loss but an inclusion of everyone else into the Love of God.

All relationships are tremendously helpful for healing. Even though the bodies may not be together, being open and connected to the Self in Christ allows you to recognise that everyone is still joined in God’s Love, regardless of distance.

Gratitude be with everything that occurs in perception. What the enemy made to harm can be used by God for healing. Awakening is going through the seeming darkness to the Light of God, to see Light was all there ever was. We always go together, beyond words, to a higher communication, beyond all that was previously imagined. You are coming to truly see that you are always joined no matter where you are, as the true Self in Spirit has no distance, being Whole.

Remember to laugh, Loved One. I love you!

Peace: The State of Innocence

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding
Proverbs 3:5

It can be easy for the mind to get distracted, by being attracted to the voice of the adversary’s thoughts arising within awareness. When you notice any lack of peace, from small annoyances, upsets, a perception of problems or any variant of fear, this is an indication that one is giving validity to the voice of the adversary and misidentifying with its unloving thoughts.

It is as if the vast sky were to believe it was solely the substanceless clouds arising within it, instead of the vastness behind it. Keeping this metaphor in mind, it all comes down to this metaphorical identity.

When the mind thinks it knows anything at all about something in the world, it will defend this point of view at all costs. How many arguments and debates do you seem to get into over wanting to be right about how something happened in the world? All of the underpinnings of lack of peace are a decision to seemingly overlook the Self in Christ and the Peace of God, and then choose to shrink this vast, eternal Being to a temporal cloud passing through. The mind thinks it has to defend this false, substanceless identity as the cloud.

In doing so, the mind meets the conditions for conflict, which is at the cost of God’s Peace and Happiness. Any slight unease is always an alert to see that one is giving reality to the voice of the adversary and desiring to be right about how the enemy has set up this world.

When this alert is noticed, one can instead pause and question where one is giving devotion towards. Do you want to continue to be right, which comes at the cost of peace, or do you want to be happy instead? In each moment you have a choice, until it is just an acceptance, about what you desire to experience. Do you desire peace or conflict? Do you desire to represent Christ or the voice of the adversary?

Depending on how you feel, you can use this one right use of judgement to know whether or not you are choosing to be right or happy, choosing the adversary or the Holy Spirit.

The first step in the decision for the Peace of God is seeing that, if being right is giving reality to a false sense of self then being happy must be the undoing of this. This entails a raising to doubt of the validity of the voice of the adversary, along with all of its thoughts of temptation and sin in mind. Essentially, this can be restated as the desire to be wrong, a re-opening of the mind to wonder where it claims not to know anything.

The second step for peace is to see that the mind is not at peace because the mind has chosen another goal. You have chosen conflict instead of peace, or give reality to the great deceiver rather than the Peace of God. The mind has decided that to be right about something of the world is more important than knowing your Self in Christ and sharing the Fruits of the Spirit. Here, you open up to seeing that the meaning or judgements about the situation were wrong because they did not bring you peace.

This is a stepping back, seeing that you are never upset for the reason you think because you have given everything all the meaning it has for you. The mind was giving reality to the great deceiver, which was then assigning all the false meanings and wanting to be right about them. Perception is only an effect, which is why taking 100 per cent responsibility for your state of mind is important. It is a humbling experience.

When the mind is misaligned with a false sense of self, there can be a tendency to take responsibility for actions. Even project this responsibility onto others, which only creates guilt. Because what is done comes from what is thought, the responsibility is actually for your state of mind. It is only on the mind level—the level of thought—where the mind can choose again for peace and can choose again for correction.

A child who looks around a dark room may think they see a monster, yet once the light comes on it is seen as just a jacket hanging on the wall. This is an example of how the mind assigns its own meaning onto something that is not there, and can want to be right about it. This can be applied to all upsets. The voice of the adversary will project its own meaning first, in an attempt to either provide evidence against or distract one away from the Peace of God, to maintain its substanceless existence which needs your faith in it to even “exist”.

When you pull back these investments by turning on the Light of Christic Discernment through the Holy Spirit, it is seen for what it really is, having no power before the Power of God. When the jacket is seen as a jacket or false thoughts seen as false thoughts, they fade into the nothingness from which they came from. The Peace of God is then left shining As It Is.

How joyous is the fact that seeing you were wrong is the same as seeing that you didn’t actually know. Experiencing the fact that you know you do not know anything at all, is what allows the mind to withdraw from all the fearful meanings that were assigned to everything. This is what allows you to say, “Huh, right now I am seeing a monster, but I must be misperceiving. I am now open to seeing again.” This is what turns on the light.

In the Light of the Holy Spirit, the conditions of peace are met and it comes flooding into awareness. Holding no opinions or judgements that are apart from the Holy Spirit, one steps out of the driver’s seat.
